REVIEW: The Mother & The Weaver

Some rather large spiders have arrived at dandelion favourite The Foundling Museum just in time for October half term.

'The Spider is an ode to my mother. She was my best friend. Like a spider, my mother was a weaver.' - Louise Bourgeois

Scattered throughout this gem of a museum seek out over 40 contemporary works (all created by women) from the Ursula Hauser Collection. With paintings, sculptures and installations by celebrated artists including Louise Bourgeois, Marlene Dumas, Luchita Hurtado, Maria Lassnig and Pipilotti Rist it's a real autumnal treat.

Our favourites were the Hip Brain (think beaming underpants), the Spiders (of course) and the Giant Woman Sofa.

Heaps of fun half term workshops are being planned, click here for full details.
