Phenomenal Photography

Updated: Oct 27, 2021

Two BRILLIANT new photographic exhibitons have opened this week. We were blown away by Amazônia at the Science Museum and the Wildlife Photography exhibition at the NHM is as great as ever. Two must see's for this half term!

Science Museum

Plunge into the depths of the Brazilian rainforest as you weave your way through 200 epic black-and-white photographs. The brilliant Sebastião Salgado has spent six years capturing dramatic landscapes, immense waterfalls, super stormy skies and the indigenous communities of the Brazilian Amazon. Cutting-edge science twinned with some of the best photography we have seen. Learn of flying rivers and epic rainstorms. The magical soundscape by Jean-Michel Jarre transports you right into the heart of the rainforest. The message is a clear one - act now before we reach the final tipping paint BUT there is hope too. Opens today. Tickets: adults £10, U11s free. GO! Book here.

Natural History Museum

ALWAYS a dandelion favourite this powerful exhibition returns once again this October. Over 100 inspiring shots on display. Stunning images this year from the under 10's winner Vidyun Hebbar from India. Our favourite was this shot taken by Lasse Kurkela from Finland in the 15–17 yr category. Opens 15 October. Tickets: £15.50 adults, £9.25 child. Book here.
