Hallyu! The Korean Wave at the V&A

Immerse yourself in all things Korean at this BRILLIANT new autumn blockbuster. Gangnam Style has well and truly arrived in South Ken to give us all just the tonic we need!

Through 200 objects, stunning costumes and displays transport yourself into the heart of this ever-changing dynamic popular culture. Peer into the damp bathroom reconstruction from the Oscar winning film Parasite; ready yourself for spine tingles when you see the iconic pink guard costumes and green tracksuit from lock-down pnenomonim Squid Game.

As well as loads of visual effects there's a whole heap of history here too. The first section 'From Rubble to Smartphones' highlights the historical rise of a country previously ravaged by war in the 50's to the leading cultural powerhouse it has become today.

Ready yourself for an explosion of music in the K-Pop section of the exhibition. VAST screens project the pumping beats of early bands like Seo Taiji and Boys and BoA. This area will be a huge hit with teen fans. We were in fits of giggles busting our Korean moves in the V&A K-Pop dancing booth. Pick a dancing level, record your moves then see your slick dance on a huge video screen behind you.

Lastly you exit the exhibition through 'Making K-beauty and Fashion' with over 20 stunning outfits including our very favourite this peony gown designed by a central St Martin's graduate - Park Sohee.

Dynamic, colourful and full of life - this exhibition is the very first of it's kind - we absolutely loved it!
